Each month we’ll be rounding up some of the PR that Shrewsbury BID has achieved on behalf of our members. Please send any comments to members@shrewsburybid.co.uk.

Window Vinyl Launch

Our window vinyl in the old McDonalds building on Pride Hill was unveiled to celebrate Shrewsbury’s connection to Charles Darwin and it’s vibrant retail and events offer. We have had an abundance of positive feedback and its has successfully improved the look of a vacant unit in our town centre.

Featured in Shropshire Star, Shropshire Live, Love Shrewsbury, and Shropshire Business. The Window was also mentioned as a positive ending to a news story about Game closing in Shrewsbury.

Project Postcard Charity

A public vote chose Shropshire Disability Network to benefit from sales of the new “Hello from Shrewsbury” postcards. Five striking postcard designs produced by Shrewsbury Business Improvement District (BID) are on sale throughout the summer to highlight the town’s many attractions and encourage more visitors to come and discover what makes it special.

Featured in the Shropshire Star, Shropshire Live, Love Shrewsbury, and Shropshire Business.

Revised Dana Prison Plans

Revised plans for the redevelopment of Dana prison have been wholly supported by Shrewsbury BID, following a meeting with developers and local consultation.

Featured in the Shropshire Star a couple of times and Shropshire Star online.

Heritage Days

Between Thursday 7th and Sunday 11th September, the public were able to step back into Shrewsbury’s past and explore amazing places free of charge during national Heritage Open Days.

Featured in the Shropshire Star, Shropshire Star online, Shropshire Live and the Shrewsbury Chronicle.
